SEEEN will work to break down the financial and non-financial barriers that are preventing participation in management and leadership education (in the widest definition) and hence limiting the development of the market.

That is, SEEEN will take on the following roles:

  1. Reduce the cost of participating by funding:
    1. attendance through scholarships; and
    2. the provision of education (eg working with and funding educators to design and deliver programs that fill gaps in the market today)
  2. Coordinating and stimulating the market to break down the attitude, naiveté, lack of awareness and knowledge that is preventing potential participants from receiving the education they need.

SEEEN will necessarily take a view on the priorities (based on impact) and what sort of education is needed and who should attend. Therefore SEEEN will commission, and undertake, research projects to generate data and argument enabling change.

It is expected that an early role will be to work with some of the key educators to build and promote education programs that fill specific skill gaps in our target audience. The centre will need to be very active in this work and may seek to brand the programs as its own.
