Over 750 people have responded to the first online survey on Leadership and Management. These participants have contributed a wealth of information, contributing over 90,000 words in comments alone!

Not surprisingly, the issues of funding and investment came out as the number one issue facing the sector.

Over three quarters of respondents identified funding and/or investment as one of the top five issues facing the sector.

The top issues identified were:

* Funding and resources,
* Cooperation and collaboration
* Capacity building
* Government policy and regulation
* Measurement of impact

Over 90% of respondents believe that business skills to apply in the sector. In addition, the majority of participants believe that leading and managing a social enterprise is harder than running a similar sized for profit enterprise.

However, only 56% of respondents believe that the sector's management is of high quality and 22% disagree with this view.
